Katihar, November 2026: Harit Himanshu, Founder & CEO of Cyber Octopus Pvt. Ltd., called on Shri Ashutosh Dwivedi, IAS, District Magistrate & Collector, Katihar, for a courtesy meeting and presented the company's roadmap for a district-wide Cyber Awareness & Cyber Security Campaign. The District Magistrate appreciated the initiative and gave his approval to take the campaign across Katihar district.
Why this matters
Cyber fraud is no longer a "big city" problem. Fake KYC calls, UPI and OTP scams, "digital arrest" threats and sextortion are now reaching every village and every phone. Most victims do not lose money because they are careless. They lose it because nobody showed them how the trick works.
What the campaign will do
• Awareness sessions for students, teachers and government staff • Outreach to JEEViKA didis, women, senior citizens and the general public • Live demonstrations of real fraud patterns, in simple Hindi • Completely free of cost for every participant • One number every participant leaves with: 1930, the National Cyber Crime Helpline
From a startup rooted in Katihar to a campaign for every corner of Katihar, Cyber Octopus is grateful to the District Magistrate for his vision and encouragement.
Awareness is the first firewall. If you are a victim of cyber fraud, call 1930 immediately or report it at www.cybercrime.gov.in.
